June is one of the best months, temperature-wise, to visit Luxembourg. The temperature in Luxembourg in June is getting higher, but not too hot that you can’t enjoy your trip. The Mullerthal Trail is 112km long, so you may only want to hike part of it on your trip.
Moselle Wine Region
If you enjoy wine, then you want to ensure that you take a trip to the Moselle region of Luxembourg in the southeast of the country. Located on the border with Germany, with just the river Moselle separating the two countries, it is a beautiful area, where you can find many vineyards open to the public, where you can try a selection of the wines produced.
In June you can also enjoy one of the riverboat cruises along the Moselle River, enjoying the views of the countryside.
Vianden Castle
No matter the month, you can’t visit Luxembourg without visiting the town of Vianden and seeing the restored castle located on an outcrop above the town. It is one of the most popular things to do in Vianden and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Luxembourg, and something you cannot miss on your trip.
Make sure to also take the only chair lift in Luxembourg to a viewpoint higher than the Vianden Castle Luxembourg to enjoy the stunning views of the valley.
Luxembourg City
There are many things to do in Luxembourg City in one day, and while you are visiting, make sure to walk around and explore the old town, take time to walk along the Chemin de Corniche, and visit the Bock Casemates, which were part of the old castle located there in the past.
If you do have rain during your trip, Luxembourg has many museums that you can visit, with the Museum of Modern Art and the National Art & History Museum.
What to wear in June in Luxembourg
Do you wonder what to wear in Luxembourg? June is quite a pleasant month, during the day you will probably want to wear shorts and T-shirts, though make sure to have a rain jacket with you as it can be quite a rainy month.
On an evening, you may want to have a light cardigan or jumper as it is cooler on an evening, and if you planning on enjoying the long days out and about, then it would be best to have some layers with you.
