A Guide on Where to stay when visiting Zion National Park in 2025
When you are visiting Zion National Park you can either decide to either stay in the park at one of the 3 campsites or Zion Lodge (located within the park) or you can stay in one of the towns near the park Springdale or St George.
The nearest town to Zion is Springdale which is located just outside the entrance to the park and there is also a shuttle bus that operates at 9 stops throughout the town and runs from the middle of February until the end of November.
Places in Springdale get booked up quite far in advance especially in the high season and so you might need to stay a bit further away. St George is about a 40 minutes drive away on Highway 15S and so not too much of a commute to the park.

Below is a list of some of the options in Springdale and St George Utah that I and some fellow travel bloggers can recommend.

SPRINGDALE
Springhill Suites Springdale
Conveniently located just one mile from the entrance to Zion National Park, the Springhill Suites Springdale is the best place to stay if you are visiting Zion. The free Springdale shuttle bus that takes you directly to Zion’s gate stops right in front the hotel.
In addition, you will be very close to the city center, shops and restaurants when staying here. The hotel also offers a fantastic view of the mountains, an outdoor pool, hot tub, and patio with a fireplace to relax after visiting the park.
It is also one of the newer hotels in the area (opened in 2017), so facilities are new and modern. Rooms have good size and are spotlessly clean. The Springhill Suites Springdale was beyond our expectations and we would not hesitate to stay here again.
Price – King Suite from USD386 per night – Breakfast included

Flannigan’s Inn

Jim from Executive Thrillseekers
Flanigan’s Inn in Springdale, Utah has everything you could want when passing through to head into Zion National Park. It has everything you could possibly want from a hotel after spending a day out hiking the beautiful canyons in Zion!
The rooms are clean, comfortable and affordable when it comes to the quality and location in which it’s in. If the room isn’t enough to convince you, then the “Spotted Dog Cafe” in front will surely do the job with its award-winning wine list and some of the best American food you can find in town.
If you’re driving a camper, big truck, or RV they’ll show you exactly where to park it for the night so it’s not in the way!
Price – King or Queen Room from USD379 per night – Not including breakfast

Cable Mountain Lodge

If you want to be as close as you can to Zion National Park without actually staying in the park then you can choose to stay in Cable Mountain Lodge.
Some of the rooms have a private kitchen so if you don’t want to go out to eat, you can stay in your room and cook. Many of the rooms have a patio or terrace and have great views of Zion Canyon.
The hotel has a seasonal swimming pool open from April till the end of October and a hot tub that is open all year.
If you are planning to hike The Narrows then you can even rent the gear from next door.
Everyone loves the proximity to the park, so you can make sure to get into the park early and see as much as possible.

Under the Eaves Inn

When we visited Zion, we stayed at the Under the Eaves Inn and loved it. The location in the center of town is perfect – you can walk to the restaurants, and the shuttle bus stop is nearby.
However, even more than that, this little fantasy gingerbread house has a beautiful garden to relax in after hiking in the park, with a hammock, and tables and chairs. There are seven rooms, all very different from each other, but all beautifully decorated.
The inn is gay-friendly (the owners are a lovely gay couple with impeccable taste), but you don’t need to be gay to stay here. Breakfast is actually served in one of two nearby restaurants, a (very) short walk away, which made a nice twist on a traditional BnB. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Price – Rooms from USD119 – including breakfast
ST GEORGE
Red Mountain Resort
Leigh from Campfires and Concierges
My favourite place to stay near Zion National Park is Red Mountain Resort in St. George, Utah. It’s an amazing spa/retreat/resort that is surprisingly affordable compared with other St. George hotels.
You can choose an a la carte room rate with no add-ons, and explore the Zion region on your own. Or you can choose a full wellness package that includes hikes, bike trips and fitness classes plus healthy meals.
The scenery at Red Mountain is spectacular, and you can hike right from your hotel room into nearby Snow Canyon State Park. It’s so easy to be healthy when you stay at Red Mountain Resort.
I love grabbing a smoothie to go and taking a morning hike nearby before spending the afternoon soaking up the sun at the pool, and treating myself to a spa treatment in the evening. On top of all this, Red Mountain Resort is dog-friendly!
Price – Deluxe Double Room from USD315 – not including breakfast

Saint George Inn and Suites

I stayed at Saint George Inn when I visited Zion National Park. It is located about a 40 minutes drive from the park and is an easy drive to the park.
I was on a budget when travelling through the USA and so needed somewhere cheap. For the price it was a great little place, clean rooms, quiet and there is a pool you can use too. There is also a good breakfast provided.
There are also lots of restaurants nearby if you are wanting dinner in the area too.
Price – Queen Rooms from USD98 – Includes breakfast
